Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH/GRF), comprising the 44-amino-acid sequence of human GRF with a hexenoyl moiety attached at the N-terminal tyrosine residue. This modification increases resistance to enzymatic degradation.

In laboratory research, tesamorelin is studied in relation to GRF/GHRH receptor signalling and downstream growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) pathways. This material is supplied for controlled, non-clinical research applications only.
